The largest event of the oil and gas sector of the Caspian region – 17th Caspian International Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhibition and Conference 2010 was held on June 1 - 4 in the capital of Azerbaijan. Personal participation of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the “17th Caspian International Oil and Gas Exhibition’s” official opening cermony emphasized it’s significance and high status.

280 companies from 26 countries took part at the Caspian Oil & Gas this year.

Since the year 2010 was announced as the “Year of Ecology” in Azerbaijan, alternative energy projects were also demonstrated at the exhibition.

It should be noted that apart from the exhibition, one of the significant events was the “17th Caspian International Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Conference 2010”. International exhibition and conference were supported by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Republic.

Following tradition, it is now fifth year Nobel Oil is a constant and unchangeable participant of the Caspian Oil & Gas. Nobel Oil acted as a Silver Sponsor of the “17th Caspian International Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhibition and Conference 2010” and received a special gratitude from organizers of the event.
